First Aid at Work Annual Update (1/2 Day 3 Hours)

The HSE do recommended this course for all qualified first aiders who are between their requalification courses. The reason? There is an old saying 'use it or loose it' With first aid, sometimes there are changes that happen with techniques and advice that can support your casualty, so these courses ensure you have practised and are competent in your life saving skills whilst also keeping up to date with any changes

Description

This 3-hour classroom based session allows you to keep updated with any changes, practice your skills and demonstrates CPD for your setting as recommended by the HSE.

This certificate is valid for 1 year only and is used for the time between your original course and the requalification course.

This course is also appropriate for anyone who would like to undertake a basic 3-hour course in first aid to support their knowledge, skills and family.

The course content is:

  • Incident and casualty assessments
  • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) techniques for adults (demonstration on child and infant only) and AED use and assessment of
  • Recovery position
  • Choking Management
  • Seizures
