Level 3 Blended 16 hour Outdoor Paediatric First Aid Course

A blended course for childcare professionals who require Outdoor First Aid Training. PLEASE NOTE: If you work with children up to 18 years old, you will require a Paediatric First Aid Course. If you work with adults 18 years+, you will require the Emergency First Aid at Work Course or First Aid at Work Course.

Description

This 1 day outdoor classroom course trains you to deal with

  • A planned and systematic approach to incident management
  • Infant and child resuscitation procedures including AED's
  • Choking for infants and children
  • Safe airway positions for infants and children
  • Treating trauma- internal/external, major/minor including shock
  • Shock - hypovolemic and anaphylactic
  • Environmental conditions, hypothermia and hyperthermia
  • Febrile convulsions
  • Treating suspected fractures, head, neck and back injuries
  • Eye injuries and foreign bodies in eyes, ears and noses
  • Bites and stings
  • Poisoning
  • Burns and scalds
  • Electric shock
  • Common illnesses - epilepsy, asthma and diabetes

 

Similar courses

This course combines the initial First Aid at Work Course and the Paediatric First Aid course. This is a classroom delivered course with the advantage of minimising the number of days training required to complete both courses.
