1 Day ITC Emergency Outdoor First Aid (Emergency Action)
A practical one-day course designed for those working or spending time in outdoor environments where assistance may be delayed but remains accessible. The course focuses on recognising life-threatening conditions and taking immediate action to preserve life until further help arrives.
Training is hands-on and scenario-based, with learners developing confidence in managing incidents in realistic outdoor settings. Core skills include CPR, choking, catastrophic bleeding, shock, and the effects of heat and cold.
This qualification is suitable for grounds-based outdoor workers, volunteers, and supported outdoor practitioners, as well as those working alongside a qualified first aider.
The course is externally regulated through ITC First Aid Ltd, sits on the national qualifications frameworks for England and Wales, and is recognised across the UK. Certification is valid for three years and assessment is carried out through continuous practical observation.
The qualification aligns with the Institute for Outdoor Learning Statement of Good Practice for Outdoor First Aid Training at Band 2, supporting industry-recognised standards.
