First Aid Requalification Courses

First Aid at Work certificates are valid for three years and must be renewed to remain compliant with the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981.

Requalification ensures that first aiders maintain their skills, refresh their knowledge, and remain confident in providing immediate and effective first aid in the workplace.

If a certificate expires, there is a 28-day period in which a First Aid at Work Requalification course can still be completed. During this time, the individual must not be counted as a workplace first aider.

If this period is exceeded, a full First Aid at Work course will be required to regain first aider status.
