Streetwise First Aid Adults & Children

Streetwise First Aid is a practical, hands-on session designed to prepare people for real-life emergencies outside the workplace. It covers key lifesaving skills such as CPR, using a defibrillator, managing bleeding, and dealing with unconscious casualties. The session is scenario-based, easy to follow, and focused on building confidence, enabling learners to respond quickly, safely, and effectively in everyday situations until professional help arrives.

Description

Streetwise First Aid is a practical, hands-on session designed to give learners the knowledge, skills, and confidence to deal with real-life emergency situations outside of a traditional workplace setting.

Delivered at The Zone, Huddersfield, the course focuses on incidents that can happen in everyday life, including cardiac arrest, severe bleeding and unconscious casualties.

You will learn:

CPR

Using an automated external defibrillator (AED)

Dealing with catastophic bleeding

Placing a casualty into the recovery position

Clear, step-by-step guidance is provided throughout, making the session accessible to all abilities, with no previous experience required.

Suitable for Adults and children over 12 when accompanied by an adult

This course is suitable for members of the public, community groups, and anyone who wants to be better prepared to respond in an emergency.

Similar courses
